some of the assets i made for our 48 hour global game jam project "on the rocks":

kind of fun though! nothing i hate more than brainlessly chewing through turn based fodder with zero difficulty so i dig the mime fights and occasional evil field boss

playing expedition 33 and i keep running into encounters you're clearly supposed to run from, with enemies that one shot you and without fail i always go "ok but if i just perfect dodge every single attack..." and end up retrying it 10 times

i love animating for game jams cos i just get to bang out the dumbest stuff with a super quick turnaround (and animating with noise is super fun too)

the "SU is about forgiving fascists" discourse will always drive me insane because 1. the diamonds are amoral space gods that are forced to learn human empathy and 2. there are plenty of shows with way worse cases of forgiving horrible people, funny how ranking of kings never cops any flack

yeah its so pointless lol, the idea that this was a completely integral mechanic that desperately needed to use ai is stupid. they didnt even use the paid actors to do basic lines of dialogue at the in-game shops!

"oh we needed ai voice acting otherwise you couldnt ping every item on the game" yeah i actually dont need a dedicated voice line to point out a fucking cup thanks

ok here's some nuance then: even outside of how unethical it is the results are legitimately dire. the ai voice acting in arc raiders is completely flat and awkward and offputting and those banners in black ops 7 are tacky and charmless. including this shit objectively makes games worse
