to answer this once and for all, building an inaccessible beta software comes from a place of ableism, as your default is an exclusion of 20% of the population. accessibility should be at the same level of importance as the post function of this app. accessibility is not extra work, it is the work.

We should really be past this stage of software engineering that this is accepted as good enough.

Sure we can wait but prioritization of work speaks volumes.

Good programmers know to write semantic HTML in the first pass to make things accessible by default, not fix it later with triple the work. Questioning Leonie’s experience shows what you lack, not she. I worked at GitHub from 160 people to 2000 as MSFT, as well as tiny startups, now in government.
