It’s far easier to simply acknowledge that any comments that would possibly imply that anything or anyone are not perfect are a complete breach of etiquette. My goodness, acknowledging our own humanity! Engaging in discussions on the very real tradeoffs that regularly happen in any endeavor?

However we live in a world where art is not something you can critique. Literature? Films??? Make your own movie if you have an opinion!

Now one could take the position there is a difference between reasonable discussion of someone’s own experience versus unreasonable disparaging remarks.

But why?

Obviously, *obviously*, anybody who has ever made anything in the world is unable to process any statements that are not adoration-based.

It’s as if the fundamentals of any creative training are in thoughtfully giving and receiving constructive criticism.

If that were true? Totally different!

Clearly, if you have thoughts about something someone has put out into the world, and those thoughts are not 100% positive, the only acceptable option is for you to create your OWN something that is better than the thing you might have a few thoughts on, rather than simply sharing your thoughts.
