FYI, if anyone is planning to visit a Elmley tomorrow, it was closed today & the notice at the gate said also closed tomorrow (Fri 20 Dec). A poor guy had driven from Southampton!

Woodcock at Canary Wharf this morning. May have been result of a window collision? Photo credit to my daughter’s boyfriend, Tom Sutton.

Re-found Hume’s Warbler yesterday at Dungeness in the Obs garden. Enjoyed watching Gannets close in from the fishing boats, but missed Purple sand and Merlin’s. Then to Swalecliffe for Purple Sand, but couldn’t find any on high tide. 5 Sanderling were a bonus, mixing with 20 Turnstones.
