A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!
Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....

Paige will return in Ca-Zine-O Royale...

If you can spare a few shekels, then you should!
We have a fantastic artist working on it now so watch this space. Won't be much longer!
So... #SmallPressDay is sponsored by @brokenfrontier.bsky.social this year. Or to put it more bluntly the entire running costs (hosting, app subs, payment to an artist for this year's poster, etc.) come from my pocket. On top of BF's running losses. So if you enjoy SPD please chip in if you can!
Our sister festival TAGS is open for applications!
It’s a must-attend for anyone that loves small press comics and ttrpgs! x
#SmallPressDay is run by a tiny team of volunteers happy to give up their time for free for the community. But there are still costs we have to take on (hosting, artist for this year's poster, apps, etc.). Want to help? Donations to the Broken Frontier Ko-fi welcome! ko-fi.com/andyoliver70...
Thanks to @comicbooknews.co.uk for covering #SmallPressDay 2026! www.comicbooknews.co.uk/article/smal...
#smallpresscomics folk. Fun for you tonight here on Bluesky!
if you have a little spare cash SPD would be glad to take it off your hands. They put a lot of unpaid work in to help promote comics
Thank you!
( #SmallPressDay 2026's running costs are funded by @brokenfrontier.bsky.social this year in case you're wondering!)

No problem! We're just grateful to anyone spreading the word. It's really appreciated.

As we're just after payday a reminder that it would really help us to ensure @brokenfrontier.bsky.social's future if you set up a monthly ÂŁ1 donation to our Ko-fi. Especially now that I've taken on all the running costs for @smallpressday.bsky.social too. Thank you! ko-fi.com/andyoliver70...

Small pressers elevate each other. It's a beautiful thing.

Comic book artist search post:
Looking for a Black British artist, preferably from the West Midlands (not essential but would be a big plus), who has a naturalistic style and comfortable with slice of life drama/comedy.
If they're familiar with the 1980s and 90s, that's a big plus, too.
