Like maybe it just genuinely makes people that uncomfortable to try and perceive what it'd be like for society to let a wrong gender and puberty fuck them over for decades. Or to just try and set yourself in the shoes of someone with existentially worse circumstances.

Idk I heard a redditor once say the brain wired to avoid thinking about death and change topics asap in order to not be a constant drain on your mental health.
And like reddit aside, I don't even know if that's true, but I always wonder if that applies to other difficult subjects like body horror.
Like I'm serious it feels like every time this happens. And every time a queer series like this is about a legit textual trans girl she's deliberately unpassing and meant to be a subject of pity. There is so much transmisogyny baked into the femboy debate and these double standards it drives me nuts
There are chasers and fujos out there in the jp market that would rather die than let their precious yaoi otokonoko whatever be tainted by the protagonist claiming actual girlhood.
Series called "I think I turned my childhood friend into a Girl."
*checks back cover*
Description calls them a femboy.
*opens a few pages.*
All he/him.
Make it make sense.
It's especially bad this season with 24 people and all of them returnees that were invited for, you know, *standing out* last time.
But now that we have more exit interviews it's getting clear how much the editors want to play up the boys while the girls just aren't getting screentime or credit.
Survivor editors are never beating the misogyny allegations.
smh all these reporters clearly haven't been following the post-KH3 lore or seen the rhythm game's ending.

"To be an unhatched trans woman is to feel like a wolf among sheep, predatory, a privileged male surrounded by the most vulnerable of vulnerables instead of... a girl, looking for community without understanding how or why."
I... Ow. Yeah. Going for the throat, huh?

anime promised me a gaggle of men desperately craving my attention
Always worth a shout so it can reach more people in the community. Whether it be a book, web serial or poem, let it be known if you read something by a transfem that touched you last year.
(That includes if it happens to be one of my stories haha jkjk unless?)
Presumably a blocklist from any number of discourses that cropped up last year. Idk I know I got put on one at some point that blocks me from typewritermonkey and at least one author I recognized after butting in once, though not alyson. Bums me out, never interacted with any of these people.
Like "ohhhh now I get it because now I also feel the craving to get railed by a hot guy in my nonexistent pussy"
Such a mood and honestly an underrated hindsight tell. Did *not* understand the appeal of sex for my entire teens only to find myself weirdly allured by the opposite scenario, and then hit hard when hormones went brrr and fucked with all the nerve systems down there.
I need pop culture and Disney's creative team at large to stop being ashamed of the rennaissance roots, including the concepts of singing out your feelings and an animated romance. Beauty and the Beast won Best Picture for crying out loud!
write a movie that's supposed to rebel against or deconstruct a "traditional disney musical"?
I know this is a lot of ranting for something we don't know about yet but hearing this from a DISNEY STUDIO, with Disney's current record on musicals to boot, is insane to me.
So like are they just shitting on the concept of musicals and/or trying to do their take crudely like Shrek?
Or is this about disney musicals' association with princesses?
Domee Shi previously did Turning Red so I imagine the latter, but she's also never directed a musical, so why would she be-
The "traditional disney musical" is just broadway! It's more popified for the kids, but it's just the way musicals are structured and executed that's proven to work for decades!
If anything modern disney has swayed from that, focusing more on spectacle than narrative for a lot of numbers.
The "traditional disney musical" is what gets me because either they're saying
a) the modern disney princess movies are traditional musicals that need to be culturally rebelled against
b) they're still talking about the rennaissance movies as if they're still worth lampshading in 2026
Like what does rebelling against the traditional disney musical mean? You wanna do Shrek again? Or is this some faux-girlboss take that got old a decade ago?
Like, you *are* Disney!
I regret to inform everyone that Pixar has officially announced that they have no idea what they're doing with their "first musical".
Gay men infamously salivate at the idea of constantly being asked about their genitalia and having an authoritarian government declaring their identification void, so I can see why rigorous journalists of the free press seem to think they want to be us.
Very Respected Journalist: "What if these dangerous hormones were secretly turning our youth into ducks? Has anyone thought about that?"
Trans people: "wtf no?"
Very Respected Journalist: "why are trans people always so mad about asking questions?! They hate journalism!"
Wanting trans people to cease to exist in public yet continue to exist as a sexually available underclass is the default transphobic position.
what i learned from posting yesterday is that a lot of us want to be bridget in a cute bikini about to be railed by two tall hot guys

Iirc they've struck down other tarriff stuff before.
I think the issue is that the tarriffs are so transparently bad for everyone that anyone loyal to donors over trump is forced to take a stand on this.
