If you're ever gonna make a federated/decentralized protocol, make an official instance, but make it go down on weekends.

Scheduling is complex: Why we need Partial Dates First in a series about fixing the structural flaws in how we represent events

Most event formats require a precision that doesn't exist in the real world.

We're starting a series on Open Evnt and how we're rethinking event schemas - starting with Partial Dates!

i think it has something to do with the "hierarchy": pds โ†’ repo โ†’ collection โ†’ record, where if you have the multi column layout its not immediately obvious

Screenshot of event ATmosphereConf 2026 on Vantage Events Viewer. Two links about the event are present, along with links to alternative websites to view the event or view the AT Protocol record with PDSls. The event has a start and end date and time, location information with buttons to open in map applications and a description for the event.

The Atmosphere is a new open network.
The features:

- Your account works on all atmosphere apps
- You can switch to a new provider with no fuss
- Easy to make your own apps on it
- Works great with personal websites

And, Bluesky is an atmosphere app.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as BlueSky, is in fact, atproto/BlueSky, or as I've recently taken to calling it, atproto plus BlueSky. BlueSky is not a service unto itself, but rather another component of a fully functioning distributed system made useful by atprot

A logo design with a big at symbol and the word "Atmosphere". The at is colored like a pride flag and behind the word Atmosphere there is an ASCII art of a world map along with some stars resembling a constellation.

The professional testers are familiarizing themselves with the game now. They begin formally testing on April 1st.

Japanese translation quality assurance is projected to be completed in April.

Outside of addressing bugs and translation, most of the development team has moved on from Chapter 5.

Hi! I'm working on a RichText for evnt.directory and your gist definitely gave me a nice path to follow, so thank you.

However, one thing I really want to support is non-text inline style spans, which means spans would be an union of many types rather than a strict {text,...}, what do you think?

Open Evnt

we are building a new data format for events

๐ŸŒ evnt.directory
๐Ÿ“˜ github.com/deniz-blue/e...

does it look good enough for majority of use cases? we definitely need more feedback on this ๐Ÿ‘€ oh and also it supports atproto

1 month ago 2 2 0 0

no it means that if you use a library that uses standardschema.dev as input/validator provider you can use atproto lex like how you could use i.e zod schemas
