I was there on Saturday. Great goal. Nice result. But I wondered if it was a bit ominous that I felt we were hanging on against a poor side at the end. I want to be wrong, of course.

Don’t get me wrong, I can listen to ‘Mogwai Fear Satan’ over and over - and I have no problem with noise. I like noise. But composure suits Mogwai, and pieces on that album have me brimming with tears and joy at the same time.

“…in battleship grey…” - great line: and the one about bands clearing out their spare room! Brilliant song. Brilliant album. It’s been in my head for a few weeks. (But ‘Falmouth Electrics’ might just pip it in my book).

One of the better lyrics on the album! So corking teenage lines in there. But the duckettaducketta durrrr, duckettaducketta durrrr durrrr is unparalleled! (Hope you’re ok!)
