Sovereignty, resiliency, governance, and control are the key topics here at #SUSECON 2026 in Prague. This strong focus on compliance is interesting and I'm curious how it goes together with simplicity and ease of use.

Of course, AI is by far the leader when it comes to key technologies.

Network graph showing the dominant themes at KubeCon EU 2026 in Amsterdam, based on analysis of 454 conference sessions. Ten topic clusters — AI/ML, Security, Observability, GPU, Networking, Scheduling, Multi-cluster, Platform Engineering, GitOps, and Storage — are arranged by force-directed layout, with key terms inside each cluster (e.g., "inference," "llm," and "kubeflow" inside AI/ML; "opentelemetry," "prometheus," and "tracing" inside Observability). Thick grey lines between clusters show cross-topic session overlap: AI/ML and GPU share 53 sessions (the strongest link), followed by AI/ML–Scheduling (38), AI/ML–Observability (36), and AI/ML–Security (35). Security acts as a second hub, bridging to Multi-cluster (28) and Networking (26). Storage and GitOps sit at the periphery with fewer cross-topic connections.

AI and security are the central topic hubs based on the 545 sessions at KubeCon in Amsterdam. AI and security are at the center of the map.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Amsterdam this week!

AI agents are accelerators, not developer replacements | TechTarget Learn how AI agents automate tasks like code generation, testing and documentation, but still require oversight for complex decision-making.

Why AI co-pilots will never become actual 'pilots' as long as they are based on LLMs. That's not a bad thing, as the production gain can be large. But just like an actor playing a doctor on TV is not really a doctor, a copilot using an llm is not a programmer.

Wow, flying out of LAX now makes you use your face as a boarding pass. Even in a free country that much Tracking would be spooky.

Can't believe the best AI app builder closed down. Farewell Lazy AI.

Interestingly, my favorite data notebook (the name escapes me now) also was shut down a while ago.

Shows that quality is not (always) the key success factor for startups. #AppDev #Copilot #AI #ESG

In case someone is interested in how to crash MacOS no matter how much RAM you have: Accidentally load a 50+GB size video into another video (instead of loading the intended 5MB photo). It's impressive how the power button becomes the only way out :-).
