Probably means I’m both nerdy and of a certain mature age - but still love seeing the joy in Jeopardy contestants making it the finals.

When I let fear drive my bus,I miss a lot of stops and end up back where I started. To avoid the scary bus loop, I’m embracing less fear to get me on the route to fearless, or at least the first stop.

Better is such a relative term and such a personal one. Fighting for what I hope is “better” realizing that already my life and that of my kids is so much “better” than so many - think global act local and do your utmost to be heard.

A digital graphic from the Unitarian Universalist Association featuring a textured beige background with small white specks. At the top, a bold purple banner with a rough, brushstroke-style edge contains white uppercase text reading "TAKING ACTION FOR JUSTICE." To the right of this banner, the Unitarian Universalist Association logo, consisting of a stylized flame within a chalice, is displayed in black.

Centered below the banner, a large speech bubble outlined in purple contains white text that reads, "How do we discern when and how to act?" with a question mark extending out of the bubble.

Below, a second, larger speech bubble outlined in deep purple contains a quote in black text reading:
"The goal is always to live to fight another day. The goal is also to actually fight and not pretend we are fighting when we are actually refraining from participation in meaningful justice work. This looks different for different people." – Rev. Elizabeth Nguyen

At the bottom, centered text in bold purple reads: "Get resources at:" followed by the URL: www.uua.org/safe/community-resilience.

A tweet from Face The Nation quoting Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), a former FBI agent, expressing concern about political pressure within the FBI. He references a top agent in New York who claims he was forced out due to conflicts with the Justice Department. Fitzpatrick emphasizes that the FBI should remain nonpartisan and apolitical. He also states his intention to discuss these concerns with the new FBI director, Kash Patel, and suggests that potential agents be tested for political bias during the hiring process.

A new member of the Susan Collins club! Fitzpatrick is “very concerned” about politicization of the FBI…

USDA ordered to reinstate nearly 6000 fired workers Temporary ruling brings relief, but could be followed by a new wave of firings

“My colleagues and I are all worried about getting reinstated and then promptly fired again.”

My latest story for @science.org—about an order to bring 6000 fired USDA workers back to work, at least temporarily.

DOGE's savings page fixed old mistakes — and added new ones An NPR review of new data added to DOGE's "wall of receipts" finds the group quietly changed previous errors, added new ones and still has little verified savings to show for its work.
