Fun to be back at QI for another year!

So sorry. Going through the same thing with our senior girl, it's heartbreaking.
Not to be confused with what I just posted, but there is *also* a software engineer position open in the Funke lab! Check it out as well. Spoiler: we will all work closely together to do awesome things!

And lastly, you'll get to live in one of the most beautiful countries on earth. We're based in Milan, in northern Italy, a short train ride away from some of the most stunning scenery on the planet.
You'll work closely with the incredible research talent at Human Technopole, most closely with the labs for Florian Jug and Jan Funke, who are developing novel AI-based image analysis methods, but we also collaborate broadly across the institute and across Italy, Europe and the world.
We also have a strong technology development mandate. Our RSE team takes new methods and casts them into usable tools both our facility and the community. They're currently working hard on careamics, a modern deep learning library for image restoration, but have exciting plans for the future.
Our facility is based around the idea of tight integration between research, software engineering, and bioimage analysis. Our bioimage analysts and RSEs work closely together to achieve our goal of proving cutting edge bioimage analysis to our users.
Our team is embedded within the Human Technopole National Facilities, a national-scale infrastructure serving the entire Italian research community with advanced equipment and methods.

First, you'll join an awesome international team -- Our two amazing RSEs, Joran ๐ซ๐ท (who leads the RSE team) and Milly ๐ฌ๐ง, and two brilliant Bioimage analysts, Juan ๐ฆ๐ท and Eugenia ๐ฎ๐น, as well as myself ๐ฆ๐บ๐บ๐ธ.

The Image Analysis Unit at Human Technopole in Milan is recruiting for two positions to join our growing team:
1) Bioimage Analyst
2) Research Software Engineer (RSE)
Read on to learn why one of these two people should be you!
Completely anecdotal, but last week I went to three gas stations here and two of them were completely out of petrol. Never happened before in the 4 years I've lived in Italy.
Honestly for me it's one of these two
Check this thread for a really unique opportunity to apply AI to some of the most challenging questions in biology... and maybe even have some fun while doing it with us at human technopole in Milan.
