I understand (for the reasons you outlined above) that the war was not a deal breaker for you. But for others it was. You can't change their minds. They feel they did the right thing in withholding their vote. They wanted to punish the Dems for their complicity. even at the risk of Trump.

They made a mistake. It probably cost them the election. The next thing is will they learn?
Blaming the people who couldn't vote for lesser genocide is not the way to beating Trump. The Dems need to listen to their voters, they have become arrogant and detached.

It think the real question is why didn't Harris indicate that she would change policy?
That's how the system works. Voters want X, politician promises X and politician gets votes and might even do X.
She couldn't even pretend to be opposed the Israel and for many people that made her ineligible.

I doubt you're really concerned for the Palestinians. Yes, Trump is more boisterous, but his policy towards Israel is essentially the same as Biden's - Give Bibi whatever he asks for. Harris made clear she would continue Biden's approach. She should have changed policy, as most Dem voters wanted.

The problem is the system that offers two types of genocide as your only option.

Lesser genocide is still unacceptable. Anyone supporting it should be shunned, not voted for.
