Just drove into San Francisco for the first time in a while, and I immediately saw a guy whiz by in an electric unicycle carrying a tote bag
Yeah it definitely had some big swings in production quality, though from what I understand, the "competent" episodes were largely handled by younger new talent. So I thought the dips in quality were actually pretty charming with that in mind
Dachshund pups sure are a lot work to take care of...
My dachshund pup Lyndon :-)
I should probably say something in my art posts or at least add hashtags, but that's scary...
Hopefully if I post a drawing everyday a job will come to me...
I saw Nosferatu (2024). It was great!
Wow, it's almost twice as old as I am!
That's pretty serious
The latest chapter of Akebi-chan no Sailor Fuku changed my life
Getting more followers... I should skeet more...
I've been feeling sick lately and have just been toughing it out at work to save my sick hours, but I just realized my sick hours are going to reset in a month anyways so there's no point in that 💀
I cooked some deep fried sage chicken for Thanksgiving. It was very good!
I also cooked some eggnog-flavored sweet potato pie, though I don't have any photo evidence of it
That's pretty neat! I've read some horror stories of what being a moderator can do to people's mental health, so I'm all for AI being used like that to minimize the trauma
yeah I'm aware they're meant for previously-identified material, and I agree human moderation is still critical.
I probably could have worded by posts better to be clearer about that though
The problem with modern copyright is that it takes an obscenely long time for it to expire.
Zero copyright would arguably give us a worse situation for everyone.
I don't mean any offense to OP (or my mutuals RTing and commenting in agreement), but I feel like the logical fallacy of this black-and-white thinking towards copyright should be pretty self-evident.
Like, you guys know why copyright is even a thing to begin with, right?
I don't really understand why people think copyright itself is a problem. If copyright was done away with and everything was public domain, the obvious effect would be corporations having carte blanche to plagiarize and steal from artists with no repercussions or finincial compensation.
1/ We're experiencing a huge influx of users, and with that, a predictable uptick in harmful content posted to the network.
As a result, for some very high-severity policy areas like child safety, we recently made some short-term moderation choices to prioritize recall over precision.
yeah at least in the US it's a legal grey area. (Is my understanding as someone who also is not a lawyer)
There are no laws explicitly allowing cartoon loli porn, but there are no wide-reaching precedents for if and how obscenity laws should be applied to it.
You can draw some pretty clear-cut, hard-lines with irl CSAM though. Moderators don't need to be lawyers to know it when they see it
The problem is that bluesky's algorithms seem to be treating cartoon porn (a legal grey area at worst,) the same as CSAM (an obviously illegal thing)
