One of the most interesting stories out of the old McElwain CMU teams.
Was a core special teamer who saw emergency snaps at HB and did well. Had a surprisingly robust transfer market for his ST prowess in 2024 and ended up at Notre Dame as a legacy prospect. True football guy. Rooting for him!

God is punishing me for my arrogance (watching the Pistons despite the fact they lose every time I do)

Is NPR re-running articles from like 1991?
A package of quick light fire starters; they look vaguely like shredded wheat; they're really some kind of flammable strands that are rolled up and coated in wax or something.
Starting the day off right with a big bowl of my favorite cereal
A white garment with some kind of food stain. Humiliating.
A pair of dirty hands rest on a car engine. Rough, tough, cool.
Here is an easy solution:
Food stains are humiliating, as they suggest you're a little baby who can't feed themselves.
Oil stains, such as those you'd get from working on your car, suggest you're tough, independent, and skilled.
Thus, simply cover your food stains with used motor oil.
60% of the run time of Final Fantasy VII is the guy with the snowboarding pants and great swords telling the extinct magic dog and Wesley Snipes Blade with a gun hand that they have to lay low

i hate that we all talk like fucking incels now
most nascar races you see on tv were filmed on the first take — talk about talent!
It's called the Terrible Twos for a reason!
Millennial emo is basically the continuation of Gen X grunge with lore pathos, they really did just make a perfect genre of music.
coming at gen x for music is like coming at millennials for mid-tier casual restaurants in a CBD with axe throwing and $17 hamburgers; they are too good at it for it to even be funny as a joke
The “Calvin’s dad explains two types” meme, inspired by a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Clockwise from top left: 1) Calvin’s dad walks into frame to find Calvin trying to operate a record player. The dad says: “There are only two industries left in America: gambling, and fraud.” 2) The dad shows where the record goes, and how to turn on the player, while Calvin watches. Dad says “Derivatives? Gambling. AI? Fraud. Video games? Gambling. Social media? Fraud.” Calvin says “yeah”. 3) With one hand open palm up, Calvin’s dad cheerfully explains to Calvin out of frame below him, “The stock market looks like gambling, but it’s actually fraud.” 4) In bed in a dark room, Calvin clutches at his pillow, eyes wide in existential terror. There is no text in the panel.
The destruction of all search engines is the tech story of the last decade imo
The best part about this whole thing is insiders saying stuff like this so casually and people in the mentions rightly saying "hey wait a second, what do you MEAN this is a known thing?" and then just moving on without answering the question.

Okay so apparently the Detroit Tigers are an unkillable machine only when playing 1) at home, 2) against NL teams or 3) both.
It's a wonderful bit.

How many of them evoke shitbird energy?
i spent a lot of years of my life going to dine-in movie theaters (now i live in detroit where things are normal) and one thing has always been true about them. people behave in unimaginable ways within these spaces. novel behaviors that don’t happen even in traditional restaurants.
Orange is a highly-underrated addition to an espresso drink. Blends really well with the chocolate-y aspects of espresso and adds a nice fresh top note to the steamed milk.
