I know there's a big push to get away from streaming and I'm here to just say hell yeah, welcome, get a radio for your kitchen.

Like I've always been a radio guy in the car- I usually only do streaming if I'm going out of my usual radio range. I just like the variety more, and since we're in the town I basically grew up in, it's really familiar, and the college station slaps

I cannot recommend having a boombox or radio in your kitchen enough.

Absolute game changer, way better than streaming. Local radio in the morning when you make coffee. Old favorite album for making dinner. Community radio station in the background all day.
Makes you feel more connected.

I feel like it's important for me to note that, unlike most every other time I use this damn website, I am 100% sober right now

It has been 0 (zero) minutes since I cried thinking about the fact that my puppy was a stray and how scary that must have been for her.

It has been 2 (two) minutes since I cried thinking about the fact that my 13 year old dog loves sharing a pillow with me because we've spent so much time together

I committed to only buying the ones with lil seasonal patterns on the paws, because those feel more like "merch" than the ones that look like the puppet

And it's damn cute to see her carry it around

It's taken ten years of dog ownership, but I finally gave in and got Subie a Lamb Chop toy

I always thought it would break my heart to see one torn up because I LOVED Lamb Chop as a kid

But Subie absolutely loves her Lambie, and even though she immediately gutted it.... It's damn cute.

This time last year I noticed a bunch of birds that sounded like rusty swings were always in the trees in the evening and I downloaded an app to see what they were

Now I'm a local audubon donor and going to a birding breakfast at 7 am in a few weeks and HYPED about it

Anyway instead of hiding inside all day like I want to do now, I'm going to clean the living room and after the puppy wakes up from her nap, take her out for lunch and to the canoe race so she can start working on realizing that people just like... exist, it's ok

(feel terrible about my weight, not shaving my head. I get so like.. round and squishy and curvy and it makes me feel dysmorphic AF so I usually shave my head to balance it out)
