I imagine so much of the resistance isn't intentional, but a result of extremely distracting little computers in our pockets. I have to WORK to learn about the rise and fall of democracy in Athens (soooooo interesting!) but I have an infinite stream of random nonsense available at all times.

Recently, every incredible story I've read, happened to be written by @propublica.org. More importantly, their work has a consistent impact.
I think we are going to need them more than ever in the next four years. I finally made a recurring donation and hope you'll consider supporting them too.
