Trying to stop people from getting there is all good but it probably isn’t enough. We should assume someone’s gonna do it and think of/work on containment strategies.

Hey there, my friend! Just a friendly reminder that we’ve already left the 1800s behind. Let’s not get caught up in the current USA’s superiority complex.
What this sounds like: a crown corp using the private profits of a competitor (parcels market) to subsidize cheap services no other could compete with (envelopes market).
I have a feeling there would be more scrutiny if CP was a private corp.
Let’s use this Canada Post situation to reintroduce digital communications.
Canada Post is far from being a one man show in the parcels market. Then, what’s left? Printed words on paper I would guess?

Of course this would be true only when compared to in person banking.
Please don’t push for postal banking or that kind of thing. We’ve got digital platforms to make this orders of magnitude better, and most of us are already there.
