In January, @samiraahmeduk.bsky.social and @gkw.bsky.social visited the home of Graeme Garden to talk about his life in TV for next Wednesday's episode of Through the Square Window. Samira's written about the encounter for our website: squarewindow.co.uk/podcast/grae...
This lovely surprise arrived today. Now it's time to make the obligatory cup of tea and do the essential homework ahead of the BFI screening! @samiraahmeduk.bsky.social
There's excitement afoot as BIRDS and references to birds have appeared on Paul McCartney's website and socials. Coupled with the Macca gigs next week (and also we're post "Man On The Run") means we might be on the verge of new stuff. Plus we did an episode of Paul McCartney's Birds in 2021

This, as well as Screaming the Blues and Straight Ahead, demonstrates how the structures created by Nelson brought the very best out of Eric Dolphy, in my humble opinion.
Screenshot of Tommy Ten Names, claiming he's afraid and fleeing the UK.
Just checking, it's now ok to flee your homeland, because you're afraid for your safety, and seek refuge in another Country?

I shall not be taking questions at this time.
Strange that, as I got a vintage record player that only works upside down. I keep my Dansette on the ceiling.

Pentangle's Basket of Light has been a constant companion during recent difficult times - particularly Train Song.
This is music for many seasons but one of them is definitely early December when it's pissing down outside. I hold this album in as high regard as Bryter Layter. I think it's a masterpiece and Ron Geesin's arrangements are as good as Robert Kirby's.

When @ericidle.bsky.social came over to host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE in 1977, he brought Neil Innes over as his musical guest, and Neil reprised his RUTLAND WEEKEND TELEVISION role of The Rutles' Ron Nasty, performing his Lennon pastiche "Cheese & Onions"...
Think they were busy searching for 'Reds under the bed'!
Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.
