Thank you so much for sharing this! 😀
One for my scicomm jobs page: @fancycomma.bsky.social's resource page has lots of advice about how to get into scicomm, science marketing, science journalism, and science policy

An @AAUniversities analysis of publicly available NIH data shows a sharp slowdown in NIH grantmaking. Delays in spending of Congressional appropriated FY26 funds are already disrupting labs, trainees, and biomedical research putting future discoveries at risk. #SciPol

Must've been a delightful find!
Yes, the facts are slowly emerging. NPR did an insightful story on this last week, though I have issues with how they portrayed one of the story's protagonists, who is a disgraced academic resigning from ASU due to sexual misconduct. www.npr.org/2026/03/09/n...
It makes a distinction, based on info available. Mostly scientists behaving badly -- tho anyone, incl journalists who reached out to Epstein or whose emails/articles were sent to him show up in the files also. Being identified as "in the know" is tenuous, as I argue: fancycomma.com/2026/03/14/h...

It is not updated (wow, did I wish I had time for that), but we have posted a new blog going more in depth here: fancycomma.com/2026/03/14/h...
Here's why we can't take the scientists named in the Epstein files at their word fancycomma.com/2026/03/14/h...

Yeah! Sheeva helped elect a Senator who stands up to bullies...it's the American way.
Yes, AI needs some oversight. No technology works without people running it. The debate about whether to regulate AI makes you wonder what the lawmakers who want absolutely no regulation of AI are cooking up
So intrigued by the closeness of this race (but not surprised)
Nice to see you on here. Thank you for using your voice to actually fix things, unlike...well, you know.
2024 “The end of free speech is the end of science”
Last week: @jenna-m-norton.bsky.social violated policy by using her free speech rights
There are so many people rolling their eyes to each of these posts. I guess we have to do more than eye-roll. It's just difficult to know what the next action really should be.
America needs more patriots like Senator Mark Kelly and fewer miserable cowards like Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth.
Fear is contagious, but so is courage. I remain steadfast in my oath to the Constitution and am grateful to those across the nation who stand with us. Don't give up the ship.
Sheeva talked to @abioblog.bsky.social, founder of 'A Bio Blog,' about science marketing, #SciComm in the era of misinformation, and more.

Living for your posts, my friend. So much good stuff
No surprise the Trump NIH director doesn’t understand how science works—doesn’t get NIH has been *the* world-historic leader in innovation.
After all, he’s never actually done any science.
Even before his rightwing pundit career 2020-25, he spent his time with economists, not scientists.
NatSecTwitter is now NatSecBlueSky?! Hello, my friends. I have missed reading your chats on Twitter.
