I'm no consultant, but I think maybe Tim Walz raising money for his own PAC is not a great idea when every D in the state is running against the GOP theory that "Tim Walz let fraudsters steal your money." I know that's a false claim, but it is the one they're pushing so maybe sit this one out Walz?
I guess my opinion could be swayed by some facts I'm not thinking of, but I just don't think any governmental dollars should be given to, and no governmental programs should be run by, religious organizations. I don't have a problem with churches or religious orgs, but I don't want them in govt.

Molly Chase said she wouldn’t abide the endorsement but lost on the first ballot. I hope she decides against that. We know the big money PACs are going to hate seeing the organization of the folks endorsed today and pull something, we’ll all need to work against that.

It's ASTOUNDING that this article never mentions that. She also voted for a resolution praising ICE last June when they were already brutalizing people in LA. And you'd never know it by this reporting.
So far today the Reformer has put up an article sane-washing Walter Hudson and doing zero investigation into what looks like an unauthorized non-profit he told them about in October and printing this about Craig and not mentioning her previous votes for it. WTF?

I'd like to know if the Reformer will be looking into this "non-profit" Walter claims he's "starting" which has a donate button on its site but isn't registered at the MN SOS, and which also has a name close to the name of a national org that Walter used to run an affiliate chapter of in MN.
Also the formation documents of the inactive org say they are the Frederick Douglass Foundation of Minnesota, part of the larger FDF National org, but they've been operating under the name Frederick Douglass Project, which isn't registered anywhere.

All else aside, if you allow the department you oversee to spend $20 MILLION taxpayer dollars over its budget, I think you should lose your job. I think it's weird there are 6 Minneapolis City Council members who don't agree with that.
As with Susan Crawford's win last year, tonight's SCOWIS result won't get an iota of the What Mamdani Means For 🇺🇸 Politics coverage from coastal elites. But it's likely a far better bellwether of how things are shifting in 2026. This is a landslide by WI standards.
