I just learned the Bugs Bunny No meme doesn't even come from him saying no. It's a frame rotated 90 degrees from him taking a drink from a bottle. I needed to share this.

Weed is a drug because I don't like it. Caffeine and alcohol are not drugs, however, because I like them very much. We should base our laws on this

He was a terrible person. Many scientists knew this and still named buildings after him, still invited him to conference dinners. They should be reminded of this now.

Figure 2 Global distribution of data for OlmoEarth pretraining. We randomly sample 285,288 locations based on OpenStreetMap categories. What's your favorite map projection? I like the Peirce quincuncial projection centered on Antarctica. They said it didn't make any sense for this figure though. They said "We hate Antarctica, that's why we don't sample any points there". I said, "Hey, there is one point there!" They didn't have a response to that so they tried to silenced me by deactivating my acc

Your ability to eat should not depend on your productivity

Your ability to get healthcare should not depend on your productivity

Your ability to get housing should not depend on your productivity

Saying “be more productive!” To those who are struggling devalues human life.

It aids fascism.

tl;dr: Bluesky began with genuine promise: a new social media platform where users could feel safer, but inconsistent moderation quickly eroded trust.

When systemically marginalized users pushed back, Bluesky’s leadership minimized concerns and began to target them for bans.

XAI’s financing would be split between about $7.5 billion of equity and as much as $12.5 billion of debt in the SPV, the people said. The vehicle will be used to buy Nvidia processors, and Musk’s artificial intelligence startup would then rent the chips out for five years, allowing Wall Street financiers to recoup their investment. The unique deal structure, backed by the GPUs as opposed to the company, could provide a playbook for tech firms looking to decrease debt exposure.

A bunch of these circular AI deals are treating GPUs like they're real estate or Treasury bonds or something, rather than rapidly depreciating equipment with a high risk of obsolescence well within 5 years due to energy inefficiency and rising electricity costs.
