This month, Mr. Kishimoto, the creator of Double Dragon and Renegade (Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun), passed away.

To pay tribute to this legendary creator beloved by fans around the world, I’m sharing a video from a few years ago of Yamaoh playing the drums.
Thank you for the wonderful memories. R.I.P.

Last night, we at "Fantom Iris" held a wrap-up party for our March exhibition and recorded an interview for an overseas website 🎥

This is a bar called 16shots, which is filled with video game merchandise

We’ve also decided on the video game music we’ll be performing during our May livestream!✨

This time I focused on guitar tracks, but I’ll be featuring some cool bass-driven game music in a future stream, so I might add those to the list then 💖

In a stream a little while back, I think I played “Legendary Wings” and “A3” from Thunder Force V as examples of tracks with great bass lines.

Thanks!
The clean-toned guitar backing on KOF XIII is really cool!

We use it in our own compositions too, and I think traditional Japanese instruments and electric guitars just go really well together for some reason.

As for KOF XIII, I personally really love “Tame a Bad Boy”!!!!

Thanks!
This song is awesome!

The fast guitar riffs and the intense melody! The organ is cool too, isn't it?🎸🎹
The Guilty Gear series has a lot of great songs, so in a stream a while back, I played “HOLY ORDERS” and “MOMENTARY LIFE” as well.

Thanks!
Hyper Duel is so cool, isn't it!

Both the arcade version and the Saturn arrangement are awesome!

We're big fans of Technosoft too, and we've even performed songs from Thunder Force V—
like “Legendary Wings,” “A3,” and “Steel Of Destiny”—at streaming events and live venues!

Thank you!
YES! I love the Mega Man X series too!

Home consoles are an option, so that’s fine!🎮✨
I might play something from Mega Man X, so I’ll let you know when the show’s URL is released!

Stay tuned!

Thanks!
That’s a great choice!

Now that I know TFIV is popular overseas too, I might play something from it on the show!
But since there are a lot of twin-guitar tracks, maybe I should practice guitar too...🎸⚡

I’ve even played “Sand Hell” as a warm-up for my bass slapping technique.

Thank you!✨
That makes me so happy! This is Mikado, an arcade in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

The other day, a fan even came all the way from San Francisco to see us and bought a CD.
All of us in the band would like to welcome you!

Thanks!
The Bloody Roar series is great because it features so many different guitar variations!

Come to think of it, I played “Forces of Nature” from the PS version of Bloody Roar 1 on a show a while back.
The groovy vibe was really enjoyable!

Shippu Mahou Daisakusen!

The slightly distorted backing track is powerful and sounds great!
We’ve got to do another episode themed around cool game music with a great bass line!

Thunder Force IV is really popular, isn’t it! I might play it on the show, so I’m looking forward to it!

Pinball was a blind spot for me! I love how it recreates the guitar solo parts too!✨
Dream Chaser has such a sense of speed—it’s amazing, isn’t it!

He was really strong!
Theoretically, he had an advantage over everyone except Dhalsim.

Back then, I used to win all the time at the arcade, playing alongside adults. Someone wrote “Elementary School Guyle小学生ガイル” in the arcade’s guestbook, and that’s how everyone there started calling me.

YAMAOH is playing game music again today!
The song is Battle 2 from the popular RPG Final Fantasy II (released as Final Fantasy IV in Japan).
Its fast-paced beat and tense musical progression really help pump up the spirit to face today's challenges!

Today I played Street Fighter II' at the arcade.
Does everyone know this song?

It’s the credits song that plays when you clear the game on a single coin.
And since I went undefeated this time, it’s the special version.

Back then, if you could pull this off, you were a hero at the arcade!

YAMAOH is having fun playing the drums.
The song is "Sand Storm," which plays during Stage 1 of Gradius III.
The first CD his parents bought him when he was seven was the soundtrack to this game.
He’s expressing the joy of being able to play one of his favorite songs now that he’s an adult.

Rochester is a city near the Canadian border, isn't it?
It's a city that's fairly well-known in Japan, too.
If I ever get the chance to travel through the northern United States, I'll definitely visit.

Guile's low-mid kick in the original Street Fighter II

It was slightly toned down in SFII' (CE) with adjustments to the graphics, hitbox, and reach, but it was still powerful.

In the original game, it was absurdly strong!

A certain famous pro gamer once compared it to Gungnir, the mythical spear.

Yeah, looking back now, I think it was a game console that was ahead of its time.
Although it was strategically defeated by the PlayStation2 in Japan, I really liked it because you could feel Sega’s pride in it!

Thank you, I’m happy too!
Maybe because I started with classical music, I’ve come to love Western music and video game music, where the vocals sound like another melodic instrument.🎼

Also, metal and prog-rock were perfect for honing my electric bass technique.

I saw news that Tokimeki Memorial made it to the final candidates for the "Hall of Game" selected by the National Museum of the United States.

This game is wrapped in memories that colored my rainbow-hued youth.

I'll play the drums, with all my love

YAMAOH
