the point of this being, you should be making your own art for yourself. it’s a precious gift of your time to yourself, and when you find a flow that results in something that makes you happy, you get to carry that happiness with you wherever you go

I liked the aesthetic enough to cheat my way through the rest of the game when I got stuck

One irony of this was that the art I did connect to (street art at first, racer trash later) was the stuff that *couldn't* be sold, or even assigned a price tag at all

I used to have an entirely wrongheaded attitude to art, mostly because I couldn't connect with a lot of art and somehow got the idea that art was just some mystical thing that you could boil down to a dollar sign. Finding myself and creating my own drawings and video work for only myself helped
