It’s Election Day in Virginia! I’m out at First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries greeting voters alongside Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Supervisor Andrea Bailey.
Polls are open until 7 PM — make your plan, go vote, and vote YES.
After Donald Trump, we probably have to abolish the office of President, right?
18 pounds?! He is a big boy (in good health).

Happy 80th birthday to Tim Curry who has always, *always* understood the assignment.
Charged with the crime of being fun.
Sometimes Republicans are sloppy.
In 2012, Wyoming accidentally passed a constitutional amendment guaranteeing abortion rights, and they thought they were sticking it to Obama.
"Each competent adult shall have the right to make his or her own health care decisions."
I guess I can move 3 blocks east to Minerva Park if everything in Columbus goes horribly.
Yeah, I was like "Hell to the fucking yeah, let's vote yes!" And then in 3 years we will learn that Columbus is doing terrible things with it.
That sounds very close to what I actually did in the ballot box.

Where is the Sample Meowlot?
I voted already, but I want to send people the Sample Meowlot and peer pressure them to vote for the Meow Endorsed Candidates.
One thing I have started doing recently is using "mmbop" as a unit of time, as the lyrics to the song suggest it is.
Example: "After today's election results in Hungary, Viktor Orbán will be leaving office in an mmbop."
Goodbye, Viktor Orbán!
Anyone involved in this needs to be tried for war crimes.
Happy First Day of Early Voting, to all who celebrate! There was no line at all when I went to the Franklin County Board of Elections this morning around 8:10.
A citizens group got approval from the Ohio Ballot Board on Thursday to begin collecting signatures for a proposed constitutional amendment to prevent large, new data centers in the state ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/04/03/d...
Also, not necessarily downballot, but the whole Elliot Forhan running for AG thing...
I am prepared to vote for anyone with a pulse and a D next to their name against Elliot Forhan.
Look up the candidates for state central committee for District 25. I double checked with my county central committee member (whom I like), and I am voting for Marlisa Young, but this one is messy!
And FCDP overwhelmingly endorsed the challenger to an incumbent D probate court judge?!
Looks like there is a bunch of drama downballot. I am actually kind of glad I had to do this research myself.
99% of the time, I vote the Sample Meowlot, but there are a couple of times when I have figured it out myself because the Sample Meowlot came out too late.
I live about as close to the Board of Elections as I live to my election-day voting location. So I am always one of the first people in line on the first day of early voting.
Yeah, I am trying to pressure you to release it before I am already in line.
I am strongly supporting Natasha Wheatley-Caffrey for Ohio Senate and opposing Bill DeMora for a different Ohio Senate district, but there need to be better resources for figuring out which candidates to support.
Early voting starts in a week and a half, and I am trying to figure out which people to support without @senatormeow.bsky.social's Sample Meowlot.
Few people in this country are owed more apologies than Conor Lamb. John Fetterman just singlehandedly saved Markwayne Mullin's nomination.

In the 1920s, there was an enormous Klan-aligned caucus in the House of Representatives that passed an immigration restriction bill designed to keep out Catholics and Jews because they supposedly posed an existential threat to American civilization. 100 years later, here we are.
Does anyone really believe that suspending the federal gas tax is a good idea?
HUD has estimated that it would cost $20 billion to end homelessness in the U.S. That is less than 4 weeks of the war in Iran.
No one who voted no deserves to be in Congress. Looking at you, Greg Landsman.
Kristi Noem will go down in history as the worst DHS secretary of all time. Hopefully the next one is significantly less terrible, but I am not holding my breath.
