That's the way to do it if you don't want to start from seed yourself.

Raspberry Beret and Hungry Like the Wolf were developed by a breeder in Georgia who names his varieties after songs. I've heard really good things about varieties, but these are the first I'm growing. He has lines that focus on different bands. www.billyodertomatoes.com
I've been reminding myself and clients that the little things add up to big things over time.

I need to be good about taking pictures this year. I'm part of a breeding project this year so I have 12 plants that I literally have no idea of what I'm going to get as far as size, color or taste.

I wish I had all the answers. There are thousands of varieties. There are only 5 varieties that I'm growing this year that you could find at a box store. Craig LaHoullier's book, Epic Tomatoes, is a great place to start, though. Most of what I'm growing are suggestions from him.

Some of the names are fun too. Raspberry Beret, Ruby Slippers, Emerald City, Yellow Brick Road, Kiss the Sky, Hungry Like the Wolf...

The hard part has always been remembering to do it. I keep it up all the time now. This year is the first year in several years that I've done it that I haven't missed a day. It's finally become a habit.

I read The Art of the Deal when I was in high school. The bragging turned me off, but I've followed him since then. There's nothing he's done that has surprised me. He's actually really predictable once you understand who he is.

I just keep it in a spreadsheet. But I'm sure you could set it up anywhere you wanted. I have four columns: Quarter, Date, Praising - What Did I Do Today That Made Me Feel Good?, and Redirections - What Do I Wish I Could Do Over. T

I've often wished my #FreelanceFriends lived closer so I could share. This year is going to be interesting. I have reds, pinks, greens, yellows, purples, brown, and stripes. I have cherries, cocktail tomatoes, saladettes, and slicers. I think I've got most of the bases covered.
A3: With everything that's going on in the world, it's easy to get down. There are a lot of headwinds. I try to remind myself that I can only control what I do. Some days it's easier. Some days it's harder.

I've been feeling like I'm in a rut too lately.

There are days where I feel like I've got very little accomplished. Then I fill out my sheet and I'm like, huh, I guess I did more than I thought.

Everything is doing really good. I spent 4 hours on Monday evening up-potting 71 tomato plants. I'm only planting (only...haha) 41 of them. The rest will be sold or given away.

I do have a to-do list but it's only the things that are the most critical to get done. And mainly so I don't forget to do those things and keep myself accountable.

Q2: I've definitely worked to be more mindful about mindset. I don't write affirmations or in a journal or anything like that. The one thing I do at the end of the work day is list what made me feel good about the day and what I wish I could do over.

Same.

I'm somebody who likes a little structure. If the structure is there, I'm more likely to be excited about the day unfolds. If the structure isn't there, the opposite is usually true.

It's acting weird for me too.

I'll likely up pot them over this coming weekend. As far as when they go in the ground, I'd like them to be in the ground sometime during the week of May 10-May 16, but it depends on the weather.
A little update on the plants. These are the tomatoes two weeks after germination. There are about 75 plants here (give or take a couple).

You ever have those moments where people give advice, and when you push back on it a little bit with your own experiences, they act like your experiences are invalid and only their own experiences are the only ones that matter? Asking for a friend...
Thanks. Unfortunately, I can't attend because of a conflict, but I look forward to seeing the conversation afterwards.

We didn't get winter this year. We just had a really long fall.
Need a laugh today? youtu.be/zDYabud11jQ?...

All day today and the majority of tomorrow, at least a couple of hours on Wednesday, and possibly a couple more hours on Wednesday or Thursday are all nonwork-related side quests. It's going to be one of those weeks.
I have too many things happening this week, so I'm not going to be able to make it.

It took the Post Office 5 days for my package to travel 127 miles, but they are an optimistic bunch. It left Denver at 10:28 this morning, and they say it will travel the 800+ miles to my city, and I'll have it by 9:00 pm tonight.
He's 11 weeks old. I think he's about six pounds. He loves to play, especially with my shoestrings.

I've always struggled with this time slot, going back to when it was FreelanceChat. It's right in the middle of my morning. If I get going on something, I'll lose track of time. But hey, I got two tasks done this morning, so I'm going to be ok with it.
