My favorite was the poetry professor who opted to run remote semesters through postal mail; on Friday, they mailed packets to students with prompts and a SASE, which had to be finished and mailed back by the following Friday (fountain pens optional).
Today is a day to sit outside, find shade, and drink deep the wind.
Street festivals notwithstanding, it is pickle weather: the large jar of cornichons in the fridge is dwindling, and the kimchee is running low. I have memories of the corn relish at the hot dog stand north of Haddam, but I will not be back there today, if it even still stands. It is hot.
I imagine this will be equally difficult to play well.
