You know what else would win a half-marathon?
A car.
Or even a person on a bicycle.
A machine exceeding the capability of an unassisted human is not news just because it has leg-like appendages.

Immigrants are dying in ICE custody every week.

Just because mass deportation agents stopped executing Americans in the streets doesn’t mean the brutality is over.

Been ages since I watched all of them together, and I might be mentally simplifying the course of these real lives, but my memory is that the films almost function as a depiction of how life goes when (to show my American roots) you're born on third base vs. not.

With a final tally of 213-214, the war powers resolution to disengage US forces from the war on Iran failed by a single vote.

Representative Jared Golden of Maine was the sole Democratic lawmaker to vote against the measure. Had he voted for it, it would have passed, handing Trump an historic loss.

Their involvement should haunt every moment the rest of their lives. They were careless people - they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

OpenAI: We’re burning money like the Joker. A miracle needs to happen for us to turn a profit

Microsoft: Please please use our AI systems, we’re teetering on the edge here

Anthropic: I wonder what’ll kill us first: lawsuits, regulations or model collapse

Media and universities: AI is here to stay

If you didn’t think it was possible after yesterday’s house editorial (left) for Washpost Opinion to more obsequiously parrot their owner’s tax agenda, well, you probably haven’t seen today’s piece (right)

Russ Vought specifically calls out USAID as something he's proud of (illegally) dismantling. The cut foreign aid has likely already killed hundreds of thousands of people and will eventually kill millions.

A Real Delivery DoorDash’s head of public affairs said on Tuesday that “no one is claiming it was a real delivery.” You wouldn't know it from the media coverage.

DoorDash's head of public affairs said "no one is claiming it was a real delivery." I found a few people who were claiming that: Reuters, ABC, CBS, the AP, Fox, Newsmax, The Hill, the New York Post, and CSPAN, for starters. www.readtpa.com/p/a-real-del...

We found out several things during the wait. 1) target uses AI for theft prevention which often falsely targets people. 2) they purposly don't notify you if you don't scan all items in a self checkout lane. 3) if u hit the ok button on the self checkout and you miss an item they say thats stealing

People say we can't compare this to the Third Reich because of the atrocities but we only found out about the atrocities after the fact when it was all said and done and we're not done with this yet so I am sure the worst stomach churning shit has yet to be revealed.
