_It_ didn’t deliver, YOU delivered!
Today, from the venue of Spring I/O, I'm open-sourcing a new library to make data-driven testing in Java a little bit easier: JUnit Converters!
A collection of ready-to-use argument converters designed to streamline parameterized testing in JUnit 6 (and 5!) 🚀

If you're at Spring IO this week, check out all my colleagues talks. Plus, there's a new batch of Tanzu Cards available... COLLECT THEM ALL OR PERISH AT THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO SUCCEEDED IN THE GRAND COLLECTION! spring.io/blog/2026/04...
Most of the security advisories I get are not CVEs. But the majority are good questions to ask, and require time and attention to come up with an analysis of what the core of the question is, and whether the current behavior is desirable.
A delicate balancing act - 100% secure is “powered off, in a valut in the basement”. Not super useful.
The product - security tension is very productive!
The tradeoff security vs features in the age of LLMs is fascinating.
Everything moves fast, and you have to deliver to keep up. This creates more attack surface.
Meanwhile, security researchers (and attackers) produce a staggering amount of reports, that you MUST carefully review, slowing delivery.
But all my demos are built with Maven now 😌 so at least that’s something!
My live coding is already chaotic, ppl won’t notice the difference 😂
Haha let’s go!
“How do you like my Dvorak-French keyboard, Alina? Comfortable with my insane vim bindings?”
Maybe I should try… but this means a huge reliance on network connectivity. 🙊
Surprisingly, not too painful. I hope it says that way 🤞
Ha ha, legendary! Spring IO a conference for broken shoulders 🫣
Thanks, my friend, see you soon
Mostly fine, thanks.
Though I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep with this thing on 🥲
Do everything one-handed? 😬
I’m allowed to type on a computer when my arms rest on a table, so with appropriate set up it should be ok.
Unfortunately rollerblading fall
Pretty sure that’s not allowed by company policy 🙃
Pain is manageable today. It’s a very light fracture, “don’t carry anything heavy” type of thing.
Will confirm with a specialist doc in a week.
His fingers are faster than my mouth 😁
Selfie of Daniel with his right arm strapped to his chest. He’s grimacing. 😬
Tired - breaking your shoulder
Wired - right before conference and live-coding season begins.
Hey Spring fans 🍃
My book "Testing Spring Boot Applications" is in early access with @manning.com. We made a short video to tell you all about it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAFK...
It's 50% until April 16th with the promo code MLGarniermoiroux. Check it out: hubs.la/Q0473JRG0
same here… and there’s no easy way to reject slop without first engaging with it. Tells of LLM usage do not necessarily mean slop. E.g. AI has helped improve the written communication of non-native speakers who are competent contributors.
It’s exhausting
Because of the volume of OSS contributions has exploded? Or because of your own usage?
Can’t wait to catch the replay!
Sorry, mvn clean what?!
fun chatting with you, my friend!
Keep it up! it’s going to be great 👏
The countdown to @devoxx.uk is officially in the "getting real" phase.
