Has anyone ever tried giving out free transit passes in exchange for community input / survey input? I know often you can get a free ride TO a meeting but what about as a token of appreciation for being involved, etc. in other forums and formats?

Bonus points for this bus operator that gave me a local fare on a transbay route. 😂🥰

While most cities don’t have control over topography — we can ensure that sidewalks are wide enough for all types of mobility and wheeled devices in the pedestrian realm, inclusive of curb ramps!

I’ve also wondered if individuals can be fined for parking in their driveways such that they block all safe access to sidewalks. In the last couple of months I’ve had to steer into so many streets (unsafely) to continue on my way! (With a stroller, so I’m more mobile than most here.)

In the last few months, I’ve been thrown into the deep end of ADA and accessible sidewalk infrastructure. A lot of CA cities are.. lacking. I also learned that cities do not need to have all these up to code so long as there’s a schedule for updating sidewalks 🥲🫠
