He's 16 FFS. The Home Office knows that the chances are, as with most people piloting small boats, that he was forced into doing so by gangs. He should be having his asylum claim processed, not being prosecuted.

We are aware of the BBC’s investigation into individuals allegedly helping people fabricate LGBTQI+ asylum claims. Read the full statement on our website:
The 'earned settlement' changes will only deliver a fraction of claimed savings, according to the Government's own data.
This totally undermines the Gov's own rationale for going ahead with the disastrous plans.

Behind every policy discussion about poverty or settlement are real families making impossible trade-offs. (1/5)
Thank you to @manchestereveningnews.co.uk for covering the statement and helping to spread their message even further.
Andy Burnham said: “I think we all should have concerns about the amount of money going into this poorly managed system and the profits made out of it.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Anyone: Why are there suddenly so many AHDH diagnoses? Dr. Jen: Same reason there are suddenly more stars after we built telescopes.
The mystery of medical diagnosis!
This weekend saw Britain’s largest far-right demonstration with extremist views on full display. Many of us felt unsafe to be in London.
The Government’s response has been wholly inadequate. They must condemn these views for what they are, racist and dangerous.

Does anyone else find it crazy that you can walk into a bookshop and be charged £9.99 for a paperback novel that took the author a year to complete, but £17.99 for a completely blank notebook?

Do policy makers have any idea what their policies do to people’s lives?
Spouting about social cohesion while proposing to put millions more people into situations like Nish’s suggests… not?
On #InternationalDayofFamilies, we’re celebrating Article 8 of the Human Rights Act which protects our right to private and family life.
It has helped survivors of torture and trafficking reunite or remain with their family in the UK.

Have you read this article by our consultant lawyer Zehrah Hasan, published last week in @opendemocracy.net ?
It details the harm the Nationality and Borders Act (NABA) has caused to LGBTQI+ people seeking sanctuary in the UK.
Read it now:
There absolutely needs to be more protection for people seeking asylum in general, but especially Home Office accommodation. It would also be helped if the media as a whole stopped broadcasting every single location, and painting a target on people's backs.
