I was sure I had read this article but maybe I missed it. At any rate, many thanks for the link, and especially for the PRE-DARNING tip. I do so much darning of my socks I assume I would have figured out to do that already. At least I know where to pre-darn based on all those years of post-darning.

Many thanks. I would like to check out your reinforcement tips.
How have they held up? I need to refresh my sock drawer AND I bought a bunch of of Silk Garden today on Marketplace. I’m so hard on my socks but this blend might be a good solution.
Oh dear yes and I’m not great about keeping my hands clean.
Thank you this is beautiful. I can’t wait incorporate it into a project!
Your sweater is perfect. I looooove Felted Tweed but always forget about it when I start a new project. Duh. I just finished a Felix cardigan and I spent a LOT of time on testing buttonholes and sewing the buttons on with little squares of backing fabrics and backing buttonholes.
Ugh
I abandoned my near complete Felix Cardigan due to button selection anxiety. Instead I have been using up any bits of green stuff to crochet shamrocks with abandon. It’s quite liberating. Also compulsive. But FUN!
Having forgotten about the beautiful texture rendered by linen stitch, you have inspired me to return to it, so thank you. That is a very cool scarf.
Thank you for being there.
Thanks for being there.
I could not join today due to some temporary (I hope!) mobility issues. Instead my husband and I drove around the square and offered claps and 👍🏻 to all of you. Thanks for being out there, Prescott Resistors, and to organizers.
Did the March today in Prescott AZ. 600+ strong?
We have the largest county in AZ and we have predominantly Trumplicans, but we are still standing up with the help of law enforcement making certain we remained safe. Stop the coup!
Oh for a scrumptious dyed skein of yarn in all those colors. Imagine it knit into a hat or socks. 🔭
Mine is Prescott Public Library (in Prescott AZ). I can’t begin to list everything I love about it so I’ll just say this: I love the staff and volunteers, the Lucky Day shelf and that my 9-yr-old grand keeps asking if we can go to the library.

Example of garter stitch blanket made from Stephen West’s pattern “Garter Squish.”
It reminds me of “Garter Squish” by Stephen West, which includes a I-cord edging technique. Here’s one I made a few years ago after accumulating enough leftovers.
Did you modify an existing recipe or just whip up something on your own? I mean, how did you figure out ratios?
Agree! I subscribed to her web service for awhile. I learned so much about shaping garments from her and always build that in to whatever I make. (Sewing background helps there, too.) I always hoped to be able to attend one of her retreats but that never worked out. She’s a genius.
I am constantly amazed at my children’s insight and wisdom. They are always a few steps ahead of me.
I jumped on the rice cooker “trend” last week. Not really a trend since I now realize how long people have been using them. I never buy appliances, just don’t get it or have space or fill-in-blank for more excuses. But wow! So great!
It’s gorgeous. I have had “The Botanist” by Thea Coleman @babycocktails.bsky.social in my queue forever but can’t seem to commit. I love knitting cabled cardigans but struggle with 1. making nice buttonholes and 2. frumpy fit on my body.
I’m always looking for good resources for myself and others who have family members with MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment). I’ll share as I discover more. Two for today: MAYO Clinic HABIT program and their free discussion forum “Mayo Clinic Connect.”

Agree, a rare and memorable film experience.
Cornell Lab Backyard Bird Count 2/14-2/17. A lovely diversion.

Personally, I feel I’m acting erratically, making it hard to focus, engage and get anything meaningful accomplished. My best days are those spent with my tiny grandkids. I feel I need to commit to an entirely new daily routine as a coping mechanism.
But how not to fall asleep in first few minutes? I need to rebuild my reading stamina.
Last summer… Northern Arizona
I’m working on one now as well, just want to get the length right as Amy mentions in pattern notes. Yours looks terrific!
