Thee @xghorror.bsky.social saw ‘Forbidden Fruits’ and is here to let you know if you should run, walk, or leisurely stroll to the theater with your squad.

Always a fun time hanging out with my Blerdy ghouls! 🖤 @sharai.bsky.social @xghorror.bsky.social @blerdymassacre.bsky.social
Dear Black People,
Did you find out you are nominated for an Oscar for Sinners from a Screen Rant post? I’m trying to see something 🕵🏾♀️

We outside 😎
Black women film critics and writers have a hard enough time in this space doing their actual jobs. I’m so proud of my friend for speaking up and loudly about her experience working for this horror outlet.
Note: though she’s offering this for free, support her and add funds while you’re there.
A poster for 1992's CANDYMAN, featuring a close up of an eyeball against a white background. The reflection of the Candyman's silhouette can be seen in the iris of the eye...while a bee hovers close to the eye itself. A tagline above the image reads "We Dare You to Say His Name Five Times." Beneath the image, the film's title appears in black font.
We dare you to say his name! This week, Peaches and Michael are celebrating 1992's CANDYMAN! Joining the conversation are special guests @daddydisco.bsky.social and @xghorror.bsky.social to talk Tony Todd, sociopolitical relevance, bees, and more! midnightmass.buzzsprout.com/1796691/epis...
I had the great fortune to attend the @variety.com Hollywood & Horror event in LA. @fangoria.bsky.social was the media sponsor. Great to see so many current/former fellow Fangorians, including @mereborders.bsky.social @xghorror.bsky.social
@brendohales.bsky.social @samdzimmerman.bsky.social 1/3
I now say “Robert Zombert” and “Mama Kusama” because of @sharai.bsky.social and @xghorror.bsky.social. You should all be listening to @blerdymassacre.bsky.social
i will be significantly more expensive next season
Awwwww she look a lil like me 🥰
A Black Woman holding Fangoria Vol 2, Issue 29 over her face. Tina Romero is on the cover with her arm around a familiar green haired zombie (Xero Gravity).
Some good still exists ✨
Shout out to @xghorror.bsky.social on the cover of @fangoria.bsky.social
When your bud @xghorror.bsky.social hits the cover of @fangoria.bsky.social 💚
New @fangoria.bsky.social subscriber edition has arrived! With Tina Romero and @xghorror.bsky.social of @blerdymassacre.bsky.social for Queens of the Dead in an amazing, historic, and historical cover! 🖤🖤 #HorrorSky
Before you start to argue about the word’s other meanings…..please look at your arms and reconcile with the fact that you may not be an expert on anti-Black terms….
Marginalized groups do NOT need your “well actually”
Very grateful that @sharai.bsky.social wrote this, because there is absolutely a disconnect in even progressive white people's minds where we instantly recognize the first word as a slur, but not the second.
That disconnect is where our privilege lives all scary season. Unlearning is a good thing!
Born on this day in 1950, Happy Birthday, FRANK HENENLOTTER! 🎉
The Fangoria Vol 2. Issue 29 subscriber cover featuring Tina Romero and a zombified Xero Gravity for QUEENS OF THE DEAD.
Fangoria Vol 1. Issue 43 from March 1985 of Tom Savini and a zombified Bob Martin (RIP) for DAY OF THE DEAD
Seeing the @fangoria.bsky.social cover side by side with the old one makes me weirdly emotional. It’s such a cool homage, of course, but like … that’s a queer woman director and a zombie Black woman on the cover.
That would have been unfathomable 40 years ago.
I love you!
If you’ve never listened to Blerdy Massacre before, why not start with the latest episode, in which @sharai.bsky.social and @xghorror.bsky.social walk one of America’s slimiest horror bros around the park.
It took me forever to talk myself down from making my RT entry, “Other critics got me fucked up.”
I also recommend subscribing to the Patreon so you can watch me and @xghorror.bsky.social take turns basically screaming, “how is it not fresh?” as we explain how it made us better critics.
My review of Emilie Blichfeldt’s ultra-violent, ultra-decadent film you can find in select theaters this week: THE UGLY STEPSISTER 🎞️
(For fans of extreme body horror, painterly visuals, and melancholic fairytales 🪱🩰)

When people ask for more information about @blerdymassacre.bsky.social and I have to humblebrag because @xghorror.bsky.social is the mayor of New York, our indie podcast is really outside, and the show is RT-approved (because we both have tomatoes to throw).

Sean Byrne's DANGEROUS ANIMALS twists the killer shark genre up for the better, and with Jai Courtney's unhinged Tucker at the helm, get ready for a bloody, funny, instant classic. Review by @xghorror.bsky.social #horrosky
Just heard a great Q&A between @xghorror.bsky.social and @tananarivedue.bsky.social! @salemhorrorfest.bsky.social is already off to an excellent start 🔥
