Sounds like an idea the Iranians wouldn't be too upset by.

The price per gallon at the pump however will make everyone else more upset.

Is it because you can prove the existence of the Irish language?

Do people call anymore? I don't think it's going to be nearly as much of an issue as many might expect. Sure, those who do it will be super annoying, but they will probably be the sort of people who would just find another method to inspire air rage anyway.

Is this the victory that is being trumpeted from the white house?

Free speech comes with consequences.
You have to stand over what you say and accept the consequences, Ye said some outrageous hate filled things and there are consequences for that.

"sparks fury" hardly. Those weren't screams of fury, they were howls of laughter.

Interesting, I thought having a dozen or so imaginary friends past early childhood was a warning sign of a deeply troubled mind.

Guess not, if you can sell advertising within your chats.

Sure there are a lot of factors at play here, but the most interesting one is just how toxic the Musk brand has become.

Not a French farmer. But so long as the agriculture sector keep producing delicious bree, im all for any subsidies

For French and other farmers it's protecting a way of life, rural culture and the heart of society outside of large cities. For industries it's too often only about not having to complete, not having to be efficient, ensuring profit. Not about strategy building up domestic capacity.

Seamus Gill is a true artist and master of his craft. Also a gentleman, I sure you could not say anything as positive for the heathens who stole his reference works.

Such a shame, Seamus is a true artist, master of his craft and gentleman.

Anger at this proposed forced capitulation, should be directed at whoever came up with this wild "deal". Its an open question whether the Whitehouse proposed it or they brought it straight from the Kremlin?

MAGA ideology seems a lot about screwing over somebody else, or more accurately, screwing over everyone else. This guy is just the latest to discover that his interests and needs are not 100% aligned with Trump's personal wants; therefore, he is part of the 'everyone else.' He will not be the last

Realistically, it would be more of a surprise if there had only been one ill-advised signal group with unqualified participants. It would be a shocking revelation if Hegseth were the only one doing this; it seems like random signal chats with sensitive info are the norm.

However, those institutions tend to be built to withstand external threats, not internal subversion.

To your second point, you are correct that nothing particularly special makes any nation immune to demagogues with fascist ambitions. We would hope that strong societies and institutions would offer some resistance.

Isn't it curious that those most frequently opposed to bodies such as the ECHR are so usually proponents or supporters of inhumane actions.
They may claim "common sense" or some other moral cover, but they know they are doing or planning to do something grotesque.

Can't see how this is good news for the URC.
