Once in awhile, she'd assign a paper, a story, a drawing, about whatever. She loved all of our work and I think we all got As for the entire year. The principal, near the end of the year, looked in our workbooks, turned kinda green for a second, but got distracted and it was never mentioned again.

Annie, a high school grad, had no idea about lesson plans or assignment expectations, so she winged it. We'd read a story from the book in class, sometimes by acting it out. Then, we'd talk about the story and whatever else we felt like. She'd assign 2 or 3 pages of the workbook, and that'd be it.
