White hair strikes again.
Clothing changes with mood.
It's a C-drama.
I'm blind - so I fight through sound somehow - this, of course, is a tad bit unrealistic so they have to show my ear twitching.
Like, that's now how ears work.
The stage is set now.
I sense a time jump coming on.
You can see his wig netting by his ear and they did a close up - whoopsie.
Whenever someone tells someone else to feed the fish for them because they are leaving on a trip - my brain does this:
Three HAMS!
Sitting on a roof drinking alcohol.
*tsk* *tsk*
They do a good job of the "mean girl" character projecting her attitude onto others - in other words, she just imagines that everyone is a petty and manipulative as she is.
Gratuitous bathing scene.
Guy walks in as others are planning to go to a place.
He proceeds to explain how they shouldn't go to the place.
He turns around and they are gone.
Comic gold.
CGI tree.
We're still in the immortal realm. At some point, I'm sure we're going to go through the tribulations - not yet though.
"Do you know why the first rule of the heavenly law was to abstain from falling in love?"
OH ffs.
Divine CGI fighting!!!!
"500 years later"
Okay, that was fast.
Our MC has arrived.
He's super chill and powerful and every one is literally looking up to him because he is suspended in air above them.
Yes, it's one of those.
We are in the immortal realm.
Some old-school theatre acting - you can tell because the gestures and facial expressions are exaggerated and everything is enunciated well.
Nice.
So, it BEGINS with someone falling off a cliff - and now we are going to find out what led up to this:
It might take awhile.
Okay - to accompany my continued report grading.
Immortal Samsara
China, 2022, 61 episodes of about 45 min each, PG-13, on Viki
Let's go!
#crowtitsfujo
Well, I started watching it while in a tornado shelter on campus - but I'll re-watch that now - lmao.
Give me three years to learn Mandarin and a plane ticket - lmao.
I know - I mean, we're also talking about execs in China.
I'm thinking more of the "we" - as in - all of humanity.
Stories:
Beginning - Middle - End
Not
Beginning - Middle - Endless Continuation - Cliffhanger - Cancelation
Have we learned nothing from Farscape?
Oh - the other drama he is in "Joy of Life" looks interesting.
LOTS OF EPISODES - and BONUS - Xiao Zhan in a supporting role.
Fun.
But LOOK there is a season 3 that hasn't starting filming yet.
No.
No.
Don't go this way! No endless serials.
Don't do it.
The ending was satisfying enough - not everything resolved (obviously), but NOT on some sort of obnoxious cliffhanger.
I don't NOT recommend it - but if I had to do it again, I would wait until the second season was out - so I could watch it all at once.
Anyway - I have work to do IRL.
IT IS NOT OUT YET!
*screams incoherently*
It MIGHT be out this year. WHO KNOWS.
The MC actor was in a different drama with a second season and the seasons were five years apart - so it MIGHT actually happen.
There is a teaser at the very end.
Now, I have to find out if they actually made another season....cause WHY WOULD YOU NUMBER SEAONS!
Madness!
TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!!
Those bastards.
At least it didn't actually end with MC - DIES - THE END.
I was worried for a moment.
๐
No...oh....the looks....the *I'm going to try to avoid spoilers* but this does NOT look like we're getting an HEA.
Don't SAY OUT LOUD plan for the future - it makes you die - and we only have until 10 minutes here.
HOW?
Am I going to find out there is a second season, essentially?
Of all the death scenes - this one is interesting.
The mixed emotions - it's a fitting end to it all.
But like, I thought of the character as more like a cockroach - who cared about survival above most other things and it's actually his virtue (such as it is) that killed him in the end.
Didn't want others to suffer for your personal agenda?
DUDE - dead soldiers are currently surrounding you.
