I'm really struggling to get into TRRPG's lately with everything going on with me these days. I could really use the escape, but I'm just to bummed to go through the effort. Any tips on getting your spark back?
Even though I saw it coming, the reality of getting laid off is hitting me harder than I expected. At this point I'm wondering what I'm even still doing here.
I'm still wary of social media apps right now, but I'm hoping this app is less toxic than others have become.
I'm here, but I haven't developed a habit of being here. Recent events have caused me to shrink back from social media over the past couple months. Very disappointed with the human race lately, everywhere, not just here.

I'm working on an addendum for Blood, Sweat & Steel! I've found a number of ways to streamline okay wrote making it easier to stay in descriptive mode while transitioning from "Story Mode" to "Action Mode", as well as some updates to the sorcery system that make it even easier to use!
If you're looking for a different playing experience, this game is very different from what most people are used to!

This is how I "role" when I GM! What I love most about this setup is that it is completely mobile! RGB LED lighting, Music, Sound FX, and fog. I mostly game "Theater of the Mind", but I use whatever I can to create an immersive experience! 😊

Weird Fact #2 about my game: Blood, Sweat & Steel doesn't use Hit Points. Instead, Harm (Wounds & Stress) is tracked with a non-linear system, which I believe makes it easier to describe the results during the conflict. 😊

Weird Game Fact #1: Blood, Sweat & Steel uses a Simultaneous Action resolution system as its default, so there's no Initiative. Simultaneous systems use less dice rolling, and give more info from opposed rolls, speeding up combat while giving you more info to work with! BSS offers both approaches.
Did you know there is more than one way to play Blood, Sweat & Steel? This game includes both a Simultaneous and Alternating Action resolution system, & there are 2 different dice mechanics available; Fudge/Fate dice, or you can use d6-d6. More options for different gaming styles! :)
