Republicans yesterday

Indeed. Complaints about redistricting are invalid. Republicans did it everywhere and invalidated a Constitutional Amendment so they could do it on explicitly racial lines.
There are two choices: use the same levers of power as Republicans do, or let them win. There is no "principled" opposition.
Warning that Florida Latinos are not like Latinos anywhere else in the USA. The cultural impact of Cubans is huge in Spanish-language media here.
It’s not about who started anything, it’s about who wants to end it and who refuses to.
More in Bernie dead enders turning themselves into Republicans on fb.
Yeah, he's not. I am anti-Platner, but I've been listening to his interviews and he's not a Fetterman. Even if he was a Fetterman, you 100% need to vote for Fetterman over an actual Republican!
It probably is, lbr
You should vote for Platner over Collins if that is the choice.
It was bullshit when Glenn Beck did it. It's bullshit now.
He thinks they're gonna lose and he's setting himself up for an "I told you so"
2025 Politico headline: Trump on Texas redistricting: ‘We are entitled to 5 more seats’
John Gramlich skeet quoting Trump in NYT today: Trump: “I don’t know if you know what gerrymandering is, but it’s not good.”
A sowing/reaping for the ages
It's not even nonpartisan
Like, the voters failed according to THEIR OWN STANDARDS. Trump's approval is incredibly, historically low. And it's been less than 18 months. That means people who picked him have turned on him.
The voters absolutely failed and any real path forward is going to have to grapple with that.
This is basically how every conversation on every topic goes nowadays. “Yeah, sure, republicans *want* to destroy this thing but they won’t end up doing it so it’ll be fine BUT what about when the Dems did (something untrue I have a vague recollection of through a game of internet telephone)?”
When Republicans have absolutely no plan on dealing with Americans real problems, they make up fake problems, and run on dealing with those. This has been going on for all of my adult life.
Every time we talk about how there's secret Republican votes if we fix rural healthcare - I have to remind you from practical experience, no, no there isn't. We should expand Medicaid everywhere cause it's the right thing to do, but don't expect rural conservatives to credit you. They won't.
Harry Enten says Trump’s inflation polling is a 70-point free fall, 42 points underwater. Independents flipped hard. Even the Mets are doing better. The House majority is toast.
THE SAME CON AGAIN!
I work in building code enforcement and I can tell its just a matter of time until my coworkers "this is what the AI summary said" themselves out of a job. The desire to eschew responsibility and not exercise judgment is strong in local government.
Seems like it's been floating around for a while
The housing crisis is echoing across the nation.
Our BUILD plan is one of the most comprehensive to tackle it — making it easier, faster, and more effective to build homes here.
anyway, if this court is going to act as little more than a partisan legislature than it ought to be treated like one by the actual legislature
I am not kidding at all when I say that every Democrat with a microphone should mock JD Vance every chance they get between now and 2028. Call him weird and feckless. Laugh at his eyeliner & dumb beard. Talk about the nazis & freaks he follows on Twitter. *Brand* him.
"I think the federal government has a vested interest in ensuring its citizens survive childbirth."

A flatscreen display on a "smart" water fountain, demanding to be reconnected to the internet.
In 1999, I was playing a decker in Shadowrun, and tried to distract a guard by hacking a water fountain to overflow, and my GM said "why would a water fountain be on the network? That's fucking stupid. No you can't try."
Well it's 2026 and I just want you to know, Phil, that I FUCKING CALLED IT!
Pope: [moral critique of illegal war]
President: I am Jesus. Thr pope is gay
Media: they are feuding😳
We're collecting the back taxes. No more looking forward. We're looking back and making sure they pay every cent.
It is super-awesome that the pied-a-terre law was crafted in such a way that you cannot claim to be a New Yorker who's affected by it, because that will also be an admission that you're committing tax fraud. It's the perfect tax! No constituency can be opposed to it!
