Greetings, everyone! I’m on the ground at an anti-ICE demonstration at Plaza Olvera in Los Angeles. I’d say there’s 100+ here, and they plan to march.

I won’t be live tweeting, but I’ll update here occasionally.

I maxed out my credit card, emptied my savings account, and took out a loan to move from Alabama to Bethesda, MD. I don’t even qualify for unemployment since I’ve only worked at NIH for a month. I will be financially and medically devastated.

Seeking suggestions for anywhere that’s hiring!!

I really miss having a reliable platform for breaking news - verified agencies that could post information in real time…with real people sharing and replying and adding their own vantage point. That requires accounts for weather, traffic, fire, police, elected official, etc all in one place :)

I’m running a coat drive for Supply Depot and GMCC!!! We are hoping to distribute 350 coats, primarily to unhoused residents and new arrivals/refugees. You can drop off coats at Arbeiter Brewing or Duck Duck Coffee, or DM me to arrange another option!

Hi Kate, we follow each other onTwitter. I work in mental health & I’m starting a small project in a couple of weeks, bringing mental health & SUD supports to people who have recently received transitional housing, in advance of a larger project in 2025. I really appreciate you & your work.

Chickenpox, shingles, Alzheimer's? Evidence mounts for a viral cause of dementia New research is providing fresh support for the decades-old idea that viral infections can play a role in at least some dementia cases.
