This one's fairly simple. Each line is on a separate plane in 3D space, and we're just gently shifting the camera around. Slight overkill when I could have just moved the lines about, I guess…

NTNS27364 is a celebration of getting ready for cycling whilst the net curtains blow in the wind. That happened yesterday. :)

Further Expanse instances can be minted at fxhash. It's not my latest piece on there, but I believe it's the latest one that still has capacity for minting: www.fxhash.xyz/project/expa...
You can also 'enjoy' my ramblings concerning the process on my website: www.mandybrigwell.com/current-coll...
Lovely to see Expanse #112 come into being earlier today. Thank you for minting it!
No AI required. I mean, I like AI, but none of my coded art currently uses it.
I feel observed.

I make these by tracing out the edges of polygons, rather than just using a straightforward cos/sin function. I mean, obviously, they're linked to cos/sin way down the line, but I was wondering what would happen if I started tracing out stellated polygons. Hmm.
A nice ripple effect. teia.art/objkt/867841
I'm considering combining this with yesterday's idea—the one that went nowhere.
So, y'know, you take a field of dots, splash a drop of water at a particular point, calculate the vector from the drop's centre to the point and displace a bit further along that vector, and watch a beautiful watery pattern emerge.
One of those things that looked like it had some promise in it, but I can't get any consistently interesting outputs, just a bad replica of PSR B1919+21.
I can't believe it's been almost a month since I coded something generative. Too busy making a small Swift app to help with tutoring… worthwhile, but not entirely artistically liberating.
Experimental woodcut rendering. A mixture of hand-drawn and algorithmic processing.
It is time.

Some outputs from The Golden Hour I created just now.
No curation, just the way the cards fell.

A promotional graphic for the exhibition "Compositions in Code: The Art of Processing and p5.js" at the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI), opening on March 6, 2025. The background features a generative art-style digital landscape with jagged, wireframe-like mountains in shades of blue and purple against a bright pink sky. The exhibition title appears in large white text at the top, with the subtitle "The Art of Processing and p5.js" in smaller font below. The names of featured artists—Marius Watz / Aleksandra Jovanić, LIA / Sarah Ridgley, and Robert Hodgin / Melissa Wiederrecht—are centered in white text. At the bottom, logos for MoMI, Tezos, and the Processing Foundation indicate the event’s co-presenters.
