Israeli ambo summoned after the killing of a Canadian in Lebanon.
🇨🇦 has called for investigations into killings of citizens & the destruction of 🇨🇦-built civilian infrastructure. Nothing has come of them.

Agreed entirely.
The ICE "detention facilities" *are* concentration camps - literally facilities concentrating civilians deemed 'unwanted' and 'enemies' of the U.S. state, in violation of their basic human rights.
The history of concentration camps is longer & more common than most people know.
And then what? Back into IDF service?

During the time of the Israeli military’s attack on Qasmieh bridge, the bridge was the main access point for civilians in southern Lebanon to food and other humanitarian aid. Governments should signal to Israel that they will not risk complicity in war crimes by immediately suspending arms sales.
A welcome and very good move. The people of Sudan deserve so much better than the neglect they receive amidst hunger, atrocity and displacement.

No mention of who started the war or how it was started, let alone its illegality.

The Charter of Rights & Freedoms deserves celebration.
But the decision not to include socio-economic rights or explicitly positive rights is lamentable. Inequality has only 📈 since the Charter & today's affordability & housing crisis can't be properly addressed as a human rights issue bc of it.

Canada's FM @anitaoakvilleeast.bsky.social still won't say how a Canadian citizen was killed in southern Lebanon (reports say it was in an Israeli attack) and declined to join a diplomatic push by a large number of allies to demand that Lebanon be included in talks on de-escalating the war.
Why?
