Her Bolognese ragu is still miles above anything I’ve had in a restaurant

Why — in a world where we are all inundated with too much email and we actively try to shield our kids from digital overload — why do I get a dozen emails from my kids' teachers and administrators every week??

Indeed, indeed.

The scale of Meta's misallocation of resources is mind-blowing. This is what trying to force technology down consumers' throats looks like.

ChatGPT is insane. I haven’t programmed in like 20 years and I was able to make a chatbot for learning languages with its help.

Craziest moment was pasting the code for this screen and asking for ideas on how to speed it up.

AI bro gave me copy/paste code that 10x’d speed in two seconds.

The hand-wavey explanation is that this makes both parents more protective — males need to tune it down when taking care of babby and females should be more "mama lion" defensive. But hard to know!

Human babies give off a volatile molecule called hexadecanal, which increases aggression in females and reduces aggression in males subconsciously: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abg1530

MJ does tend to generate (like skeets) thirst traps, however. Looks cool but I had to tweak the prompt to get something usable for a mobile app.

For as much as ChatGPT is legit mind-blowing sometimes, DALL-E (image generation) is almost amusingly bad in comparison. Left is DALL-E compared to MidJourney on the right, for the same prompt (all of DALL-E's other output was comparable).

Thank you! I was just thinking about how I couldn’t open the app around my kids this evening!

Yes I think so. I can tell it’s him because he’s off in la la land about his own product.

I hate to break this to you but it’s literally a copy of Twitter’s UX. And we’re all here because we want to replace Twitter.

That seems about right? This conversation makes me more confident in keeping everything under the single PBLLC, though!

Sure, I agree. They need to manage that debt, but while typically the debt is only managed to a long-term financial goal, in this case it’s managed to a long-term goal for the protocol.

2 years ago 1 0 1 0

Fwiw I think the protocol has zero chance of achieving their goals unless they get traction with the flagship product, so I’d prioritize the product and only avoid painting themselves into a corner

2 years ago 3 0 1 0

Normally I’d agree but they have a pretty clear goal wrapped into a PBLLC, and keeping everything under that roof ensures they stay aligned to that goal.
