Woodpecker monitoring today in an Oak forest near Sibiu, Romania. 22 GSP, 12 MSP, 3 LSP and 5 Black within a 2x2 km square. In one point count all 4 species were drumming and calling!

The song of a Blackbird, with a background Robin will forever be the perfect duo. Moments worth appreciating.

Are this loggers accurate enough to detect altitudinal migartion over short distances? I'm interested in doing something similar with resident breeding Mountain horned lark in Romania, since we don't really know where most of the population overwinters.
