I am far more worried about the rise of fascism than the rise of autism. Can we look into the causes of that?

Reading The Midnight Library, and this line popped out. Explains a lot right now.

It’s almost like egomaniacal criminal property moguls and narcissistic ketamine-addled tech bros aren’t the best people to lead the world.

Can we stop calling billionaire CEO investors and world destroyers ‘rock stars’. They are the thing you rebel against. They aren’t articulating their pain into beauty. They are just dickheads making life a bit more shit.

Statistically Nazi salutes are more commonly a symptom of Nazism than autism.

If you’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life give it a go. It’s not schmaltzy. It’s raw. It’s very 2024. About the little guy against the machine. Humans against economies. About why we matter. About the difference a life can make. About why we should stay alive.

Going to be doing a podcast next year. Not just a roll call of celebs. Proper non-PR convos with people on the cutting edge of mental health and culture and with something interesting to say. Therapists, neuroscientists, survivors, flawed people aware of their flaws. It’s going to be good.
