A screen shot of a skeet from Merriam-Webster that reads - ‘SWIMS’ upside down is still ‘SWIMS’.
With a reply that reads - if you love geometric fonts where this would be true so much then why don't you use them in your body copy? no? not readable? go FUCK yourself; dictionary. they should call you hypocrictionary

* my happy hour plans after work changed and my husband suggested we grab dinner at a new bar in town instead of going straight home from the train

obvious lies but also I'm pretty sure this would make our explicit plan going in 'let's decapitate their leadership and leave the nuclear codes in the hands of ????' and, uh

nobody cares that loud accounts don’t like AI, they care that people are lying about in ways that misinform other people

as capabilities very obviously grow, this has a very strong tendency towards conspiracism and the kind of siege mentality that serves no one well

oil up now is helping to drive the market *higher* because it’s forcing people to sell real econ stuff (see bank reversal) and buy more semis straight up all day (on session 16!)

Cut hours and avoid promotions: how the £100,000 tax trap is shaping work Fears of higher levies and loss of benefits prompt employees to make career decisions to stop their incomes rising

Sorry but this is absolutely mad. Huge failing of all Chancellors for a decade and a half to allow this to happen.

true story: some Brit wealth managers, clients of whom are rich Brits, told me they keep getting calls saying 'help! i just read in [a newspaper that's not the FT] that we're about to default on our gilts and go to the IMF! what should I do?'
and they say 'er, read another newspaper?'

In all seriousness though the condoms are bad enough but this company also makes medical equipment and a glove or catheter or lube shortage seems like the kind of thing that would be its own separate crisis entirely

well clearly the war in Iran is all part of JD Vance's master plan to manufacture a baby boom by making condoms a luxury good

Everything I know about Hassan Piker has been learned against my will and I still don't fully know who he is because I don't hate myself enough to watch any YouTube video

All of the Hasan discourse on all sides should have to stare at this poll until they understand they are terminally online freaks who are frothing over shit that has no impact materially. Please just fight republicans and donate to dems.

I also just fully reject that what we "need" to give up is access to high quality healthcare when we light many billions of dollars a year on fire for military r&d that's just straight up grift

I do think it's true that there's a lot of waste in medical research and that there can be a lot of sunk cost fallacy (like all the Alzheimer's research off that paper the researcher photoshopped results data for) but it's just such an out of touch list across the board

1 day ago 3 0 1 0

I can confirm that this is the case, I've basically never waited more than a couple days. If something is being scheduled more than a week out it's either a follow-up or because that's the most convenient time for me. But my annual out of pocket medical bills are so high they end up tax deductible
