I am fascinated by people’s lack of care for consent in the artist space, but it’s a conversation people are very clearly not ready for if we default to calling artists, who ask to respect their boundaries, all the dehumanising names we can possibly come up with.

The bottom line is you should make sure the creator of whatever you're using as a direct reference is okay with it

RIGHT like if it's flipped I just know they were trying to get away with it and it just makes it worse lmfao

I don't do much direct referencing but there are plenty of resources out there if you look for them! Places like Unsplash (royalty free photographs), people who specifically make pose/stock image references, 3d models, there's even artists like kibbitzer who make base poses for people to use

I'll have them at cons and after DoKomi will try to get an online store more or less running too!
