Lovely sweet carrots. Enjoy the rest of your day
I love it...but have to keep it under control in my garden. Beautiful scent.
A lovely car...enjoy. I had a similar one a few years ago but sadly, I found the weather was never quite right for me to have the roof down often! Was either too hot, too cold, too windy, damp or raining etc.
Well done Cambridge in THE boat race.
A lovely gardening day, too, south of Cambridge. Cloudy but mild. So many weeds in my garden! Just sitting here relaxing with a glass of wine after my endeavours!
Oh my goodness!! Maybe won't last long. Has been a cloudy but 'warmish' day, south of Cambridge. A good day for gardening. Rain is forecast though.
I was there....yes..lucky with the weather this year.
Lovely photo. Cheery daffodils. Mine are almost over...have been deadheading.
A 3×3 collage of close-up photographs of daffodils in bloom, showing different varieties in shades of yellow and white. Some have bright golden trumpets, others pale petals with contrasting cups, all set against soft green garden backgrounds.
According to old tradition, daffodils bloom around 1st March in honour of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. His feast day falls on this date and coincides with the beginning of meteorological spring. #StDavidsDay #FolkloreSunday

Happy anniversary to you both. Will be 54 years for us this year....years fly by! Enjoy the day.
A beautiful restful scene
That toad in the hole looks amazing!!
Cluster of bright yellow daffodils in bloom, their flared trumpets and pointed petals catching soft spring light. Slender blue-green leaves rise upright from the grass, with one one bloom just beginning to unfurl among the fresh flowers. The background is gently blurred, suggesting an early spring garden setting.
Shrove Tuesday marks the eve of Lent. Lent comes from Old English lencten, meaning spring and the lengthening of days as light increases. An old name for the daffodil is Lent lily; it begins to flower around now, its bright yellow trumpets quietly heralding the coming of spring.
An amazing birthday breakfast! Enjoy your day.
Cheek piece decorated with floral design & a dolphin. Central figure is of a cavalryman, holding a lance, riding on horseback.
Roman auxiliary cavalry helmet.
A bronze cheek piece from the helmet’s left hand side.
Dredged up from River Tyne at South Shields. The helmet perhaps belonged to a soldier based on/near Hadrian’s Wall or from South Shields fort.

A delicate still life painting of pale yellow primroses arranged in a green-patterned china jug and saucer, accompanied by a small glass of deep violet flowers. Soft, natural light and muted tones give the composition a gentle, springtime intimacy. The painting is by the Scottish artist Anne Cotterill (1933-2010).
The German name for the primrose, Schlüsselblume, means “key flower,” said to be inspired by a Flemish legend. According to the tale, these flowers were placed upon the earth to “unlock” spring, ushering in a vibrant procession of blossoms and bright sunshine. #folklore #nature
it features 3,000 pieces of glass in 40 colours, creating a "journey from darkness to light".

It’s the colour 🤗
Fascinating to see them there. Am hoping their cousin doesn't come for breakfast again at my little pond.
Just love this heron ignoring but perfectly matching our decoy by the garden pond.
A lovely rose. Healthy, glossy foliage & good scent. Was my father's favourite. I have this in my garden.

Me!!
Lovely poppy. Has brightened my day! Hope your day is going well
They are the best, I think. Planted a few on chalky, grassy bank near the cottage.....and they have spread around beautifully. I help them out by dividing clumps
A collage of close-up pansy flowers in shades of purple, violet, blue and yellow, showing the distinctive dark “face” markings against soft green garden backgrounds.
The pansy has many old folk names such as: butterfly flower, cat’s face, Cupid’s flower, heartsease, Johnny-jump-up, kiss-me-behind-the-garden-gate, lark’s eye, love-in-idleness, monkey face, pensee, stepmothers, three-faces-under-a-hood & trinity flower. Which is your favourite?
