Amazon sludge:

If I'm logged in and add various items to my cart, amazon doesn't offer a free shipping option.

If I open an incognito browser window and add the same items to my cart, I get free shipping and the delivery window is shorter too.

I am increasingly convinced that, deep down, everyone either is obsessed with watching birds or will soon realize they are obsessed with watching birds

Somebody keyed a bunch of cars where I live, including mine. I reported the incident to the Toronto Police online @tps.ca, and I appreciate the note that appears after submission. It's nice to see them looking out for folks who may need extra support. (I won't let act of vandalism ruin my day.)

Dear Universe, I know you've got bigger problems on your hands right now, but please stop me from replying to a particular heartless, tone‑deaf email with the sarcasm of a thousand suns.

If you’re overwhelmed by world events and worried about implications for your investment portfolio this week, I’m here to tell you the more often you examine your portfolio value, the more volatile it will seem. Wise investors keep their long-term objectives front of mind and stay the course.

Right?

Neglected to mention many cystoscopies, some included bladder biopsy.

And the kidney biopsy was done using a long rigid scope snaked up through the urethra, bladder, and ureter, into the kidney. So painful. I asked after why they don’t use a flexible scope and they said for men they do. 🤷‍♀️

Procedures I have had without anyone providing pain meds: cervical biopsy, endometrial biopsy, kidney biopsy, bone marrow biopsy. So inhumane.

A compromise, staying 30
minutes between permanent daylight and permanent standard time, was first mentioned to me by @markkamstra.com). It’s less extreme than permanent daylight or permanent standard and maybe worth the pain of always being 30 minutes out of sync with nearby states/provinces.
