With the updated RCV totals just released by the Board of Elections, our campaign has officially earned the most total votes in a primary in New York City history.

Have to disagree, in my experience Angela is much more willing to capitulate to the right of the party and gets a pretty good reception with them, Corbyn obviously wasn’t, which is why they worked so relentlessly to remove him.

Help us challenge the Supreme Court’s judgment on trans rights | Good Law Project

Labour's new policy - of humiliating trans people by requiring them constantly to self-identify - we believe puts the UK (again) in breach of its obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights and will seek a declaration of incompatability. goodlaw.social/0r6l

This statement about the transphobic Supreme Court ruling by the UK's Crab Museum (yes a museum about crabs) is better than 99% of the statements I've seen on the topic

In the aftermath of the UK Supreme Court ruling on trans people and biological sex, a really concerning thing among cisgender legal advocacy groups has been adopting wholly the legal concept that trans women ARE biological men and trans men ARE biological women, as given in the ruling.

Jess Barnard, btw, was also previously subject to an attempt by the leadership to force her out as chair of Young Labour for her opposition to transphobia.

❤️ Appreciate that comrade.

Like you say, damning picture overall. Theres a very loud silence from people who have the audacity to still call themselves allies.

Starmer condemned over call for trans women to use male toilets Exclusive: A member of Labour’s ruling National Executive Committee claims Sir Keir Starmer is telling trans people to put themselves in harm’s way

Following @jessicabarnard.bsky.social for her blunt and to the point stand on this matter.

So many liberals on this site convinced that Trump is now a Putin plant.

I can’t believe it has to be said but the world isn’t split into two neat camps of people whose political ideology revolves around NATO vs undercover spys for Putin.

What does it say about the world when we think we need more ‘bruisers’ talking about education.

The UK welcomes Ukrainians but shuts out Palestinians — even as UK-made weapons fuel their genocide.

Safe routes for some; moral panic and cruelty for others.

There’s a name for that: anti-Palestinian racism.

As someone who supported him, if he had ever announced a ban on refugees like this, we would’ve been up in arms.

It’s not about independence of mind of the left, it’s about the fact neoliberals like Starmer always give way to the far right. Surely you must be catching on by now.

The fascists are out in force on X today so much so we’ve regressed to taking the vote away from women.

This is fine. Everything is fine.

Both the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition suggesting that Ukrainians are deserving of sanctuary, but Palestinians are not.

That parliament has created legal processes for Ukrainians, not for Palestinians.

What do we call that?

On this day in 1990, Nelson Mandela was released from prison after 27 years. First incarcerated in 1963, Madiba spent the next two decades imprisoned on Robben Island.

LGBTQIA minors make up 40% of the endangered minor runaway population. They are 120% more likely to be unhoused. They are also uniquely at risk for exploitation and trafficking.

This is breathtakingly evil.

And that’s on blairite human rights lawyers, everyone.

If Labour don’t challenge the ideology of the far right, the far right will claim the ground at the ballot box.

Its not rocket science.

Very few are using the phrase “white supremacists” when referring to the administration in the USA. They should.

1 year ago 49 16 1 1

We all saw this coming.

Now it’s time for the UK Labour government to decide, will it follow America into carrying out one of the most horrific crimes of ethnic cleansing in our lifetime, or will it defend Palestinians and with that, international law.

If we are to defeat reform next time, folks need to stop thinking this is a gotcha moment.

In my last report I shared how Labour broke down our election vote share. We won because Tory voters stayed at home - next time we won’t have this luxury. Time to accept members are our strength.

2017 it peaked, and yes it did, had unprecedented numbers of active members and very stable income = higher number of votes than in 2024.

Have a read of the report!

We don’t have big donors like the Tories and we won’t without compromising on policy - Labour needs and depends on membership fees.

Membership numbers absolutely matter for Labour.

Tories - funded by a handful of extremely wealthy donors and they essentially own the press.

Labour - depend on the funds from its members and their time to deliver leaflets, doorknock etc.

Notable further reduction in Labour Party membership:

“Party membership is down to 329,957, down from 339,000 in November and 348,000 in July, and youth membership has fallen to 30,000, having been at over 100,000 five years ago.”
