…someone’s killing all the villains who survived the Doctor.’

‘The Doctor doesn’t kill. Not intentionally. Even his worst enemies are offered mercy. Go up against the Doctor, and while your plan will be ruined, there’s a chance you’ll live. Someone doesn’t agree with that. someone’s travelling across all of time and space putting that right...

Finally modern audiences will get to experience what Star Wars was like before they got an Englishman to dub over Alec Guinness’s New Jersey accent

I’m watching a TV show — several episodes in — and three times in the last two episodes, the characters have halted the drama to deliver a PSA about the HPV vaccination, practically straight to camera. A disclaimer came up on screen and everything!

What’s with all this talking and politics? Geralt should be fighting monsters!

I hate to tell you this but the Witcher books are not the games. The show actually has far MORE monsters than the book ever gives us.

I always find Witcher Netflix discourse so fascinating.

People will scream and wail that the books aren’t accurate to the source material — which, to be clear, they aren’t — but the things a lot of them are complaining about… are the parts that actually are accurate?!?!

I always thought it would be ‘Dune: Part 3 - Messiah’ and I wouldn’t be surprised it that’s how it shows onscreen.

— you get the sense that you yourself are a time traveller. The film itself is a fracture in reality - stuttering, glitching, and distorting.

Britain is in decay. Britain will decay. Britain has decayed. The dark ages loom large.

There’s a moment when Jodie Comer’s ‘Isla’ looks upon the ‘Angel of the North’ — a statue that will remain long after herself — and remarks that this makes them ‘time travellers’.

As the film intercuts between footage of Britain’s past, real and imagined, played over by Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Boots’ —

Poster for 28 Years Later.

28 Years Later looks great, sounds great, and the acting is extremely impressive. There is, however, a point where the script will take your hands and ask you to trust it.

Your answer to this question will colour your judgment of the entire film.

I’m gonna need a Danny Boyle Attack on Titan movie, ASAP.

here's the thing about using Gotham and then Odyssey clearly repeating Oppenheimer's campaign (the posters are more than strikingly similar).

this is to:
- *get away* from both films being "period"
- clearly establish these as *Christopher Nolan*. He's an IP in his own right.
