Wow. Amazing how stories about the exact same event can come with diametrically opposite interpretations. This is an example of why we should all take assertions in the news with a grain of salt.

Agreeing this is a reflection of partisanship, though it also could reflect that Ukraine is likely not a top issue for most people, so they could be more likely to change views when their leaders do. It’d be interesting to know if a leader flipped on a more salient issue what the impact would be.

There is no such thing as left.
There is no such thing as right.
There is only good analysis and bad analysis,
Correct facts, errors, and lies,
And moral and immoral instincts.

This headline drives me crazy. Saying Turo grew “quietly” implies either something nefarious or that there was an intent not to attract attention. I don’t know anything about Turo’s comms strategy but the article doesn’t support either of those interpretations.

What we know about a vehicle attack on pedestrians in New Orleans that killed at least 10 Authorities say a man driving a pickup truck sped through a crowd of pedestrians in New Orleans’ bustling French Quarter district early on New Year’s Day, killing at least 10 people and injuring more ...

Ugh. I’d be surprised if the recent vehicle attack in Germany didn’t inspire this in some way. Regardless of motivations, any recent successful attack can inspire copy-catting the same method. Unfortunately these are also very hard to stop.

Hello everyone!

What’s drilled into my head from intelligence analysis is you have a 5-7 word title and one sentence to get someone’s attention, otherwise they move on. And 10 secs to make 1-3 key points if you happen to be in an elevator with them. 🤣 So hard though.
